Although often viewed
Although often viewed as sleep problems for minor problems or issues that we hope to resolve spontaneously thanks to the recovery of other problems, it has become increasingly clear that sleep disorders can slow the rehabilitation and influence the overall results for the patient process. For example, it is revealed that the presence of disturbances in the sleep-wake cycle is linked to long stays in the hospital or rehabilitation center (Makley et al. 2008). Because of the effort and the cost of rehabilitation, we have to look at the sleep disorders as inhibitors of the whole process, and the allocation of adequate attention and resources to the scientific and clinical area.
